It's Been Three Years: People are Still Bamboozled

Time to remember how mean COVID was to all of us. COVID was a stealthy enemy that locked us down, made us wear masks, shut down businesses....oh wait, that was the government...nevermind.

I don't receive a traditional, physical, local paper. A few mornings ago I looked down our long, dirt driveway at bright sunlight reflected off an object by the mailbox. I walked down to the driveway to find our local newspaper, The San Diego Union-Tribune (UT), in a plastic, waterproof bag, probably a complimentary copy to persuade us to subscribe. Not happening.

I have seen this paper more in the last couple of months because I have been in at my wife's aunt's house to help out after my wife's healthy, vibrant uncle passed away suddenly in his sleep. He was fully vaxxed.

Many of the articles in the UT are from The Washington Post and The New York Times so it's doubtful the reporters at the UT have any meaningful work to do except regale their readership with new vegan recipes and heartwarming stories about pet elephants saving their owners from renegade mice.

But in that day's paper, on the front page no less, there was an article by a Union-Tribune staff writer, John Wilkens. It's good to see John continuing, three years in, espousing the company line like a dutiful, useful idiot. I don't know what other articles he's written but today's headline is typical of the tripe I've seen elsewhere:

It's a touchy-feely article about the nice changes we've seen despite the evil COVID virus trying to destroy us all. Wilkens writes:

Since March 11, 2020, San Diegans have navigated this life-altering era, but hope and resiliency abound.

There's a problem, though: COVID didn't do a damn thing to us. Our governments did. I would have much preferred a bout with COVID than all the bullshit we dealt with and are currently dealing with from our totalitarian governments that shut down businesses, implemented lockdowns, closed down schools, required vaccinations, made false promises and castigated people like myself who chose not to get vaccinated. To blame all this on COVID is lazy journalism and rationalization. I suppose John is just following orders.

It was all unnecessary as many are now admitting (check your memos, John, maybe you've missed something). We knew from the very beginning, as the Great Barrington Declaration declared, that all these measures would have horrific consequences, that there were better, more scientific ways to deal with COVID.

But they didn't want to deal with COVID correctly, (or scientifically) otherwise they wouldn't be able to implement the Great Reset or steal the 2020 election. COVID was an opportunity.

John wrote about the "stealthy enemy lurking," as if no one had any idea how to fight a virus, as if this was the first worldwide virus our planet had ever experienced. If saner heads had prevailed, saner, moral heads, I should say, there would be a lot of people living who are now dead, who were murdered by totalitarian measures the world over.

John, There's an Elephant in Your Article

Not once, in this entire article, does John mention the havoc caused by the so-called vaccines for a significant portion of our population. I didn't expect it. The UT promotes propaganda like most other major newspapers. The sin of omission is no less serious than the sin of distraction, in truth they go hand-in-hand. Omission is used by propagandists all over the world and it is one the major techniques used against deaths and injuries caused by the so-called vaccines. Couple that with distraction and you have a winning recipe for propaganda and totalitarianism.

"See what we learned from COVID? Isn't that nice!"
"I see some vaccine deaths over here."
"Lot's of people are now working at home, isn't that just grand?"
"Are you seeing these vaccine-related disabilities?"
"One guy took photos of people in their homes during lockdown. What a nice guy!"
"Excess mortality is up in almost every country and birthrates are dropping."
"During lockdowns an opera singer sang for 20 minutes on her balcony. Isn't that wonderful?"
"Are you freaking listening?!"

You go, John. Keep writing these fluff pieces while the world needs truthful, vigorous, investigative reporting, something you could do, if you wanted, if you were willing to make the sacrifice to get on the right side of history. Many others have.

But I know you won't. And even if you did, the UT wouldn't let you write about it anyway.

I wonder what you would do then?
