Did Newsom really use the phrase "competitive authoritarianism"?
Beside it just being buzzword-echolalia, it's an own-goal of humungous proportions, becaue it spells out that yes, Newsom's gang sees Trump as an authoritarian*
/in competition with other authoritarians/.
I.e. in competition with Newsom's gang. Gav the Scav just told on himself, basically.
What an effing mess they have made of the democratic process (meant without irony). Taking weeks to count the votes, anonymous unverified voters, ballot harvesting, all the hallmarks of cheating. Organised cheating from within the system.
And bringing up Putin is also stupid. Even taking some rigging into account, Putin still nets over 50% of the vote and the enemies of Russia knows it, and are envious. Orban in Hungary got over 50% in elections too, until the last one and was the single president/PM in the EU truly elected by the people by majority vote.
If you ever speak to USA-wokies claiming it takes time to count the votes, bring up that 1950s Sweden, using paper ballots and telephones and voter ID, had all the votes counted and re-counted (twice) inside 24 hours. Nowadays the results are usually in inside 12 hours.
And Negros (or Gypsies or Jews or Arabs or...) here have zero trouble bringing their IDs or passports to their voting station, might want to mention that too if they decide to insult American Negros by claming they can't figure out IDs and such.
*Trump is rather far from authoritarian, I'd say, and I would say that as my professional assessment. He speaks with and as an authority (even on subjects where he is far from one) but that's part of who he is and what his job as president is.
Perhaps I'm a bit prejudiced but it is my experience that USAmericans prefer and boisterous and somewhat loudmouthed president even if he is from the other team, than a mousy mealy-mouthed mumbler?
In truth I doubt Newsom saw or even wrote that email...but it has his name on it so I used it.
Some of us don't care whether they're boisterous or quiet....some of us...the best of us, just want someone wants the best for this country and its citizens and who will tell like it is and not back down (a good man is hard to find!). I do think Trump is what we need for this time in history.
Agree, it is some flunky trying to curry favour that's the real author, but if you let someone put your signature on something - that's on you. Or rather, that's on Gavin.
Us here, lot of us wants to see a PM or other politician with a little gusto, a little zest - not some humanoid that looks as if it's on the run from mme Tussauds.
I watched Gavin Newsom on the Shawn Ryan Show. He is very readable and very much the actor in this fantasy movie that is comprised of The Woke; they who are really sleeping. It took me three tries to finish the show. That's how fake his reality is !

As usual, good comment and thanks for it, Rikard.
Thank you right back!

So far, no luck - not since the 1980s.

As some wag put it...
Stop Trump from stealing another election -- demand voter ID now!!
