Never Forget — Just Two Weeks

Strip clubs or churches? Someone made that decision.

“Just two weeks and no more,”
Then they said it might be four.

After four it changed again,
The T.V. said it might be ten.

Experts noted nook and cranny,
“Love your neighbor and save granny!”

So you lost your livelihood?
It was for the common good!

That reward is worth a lot,
Except when food must be bought.

Rich elites didn’t care,
Took much more than their fair share.

Amazon smiles every day,
While drug execs eat prime filet.

But it’s okay, you did your duty,
There’s no need to be so moody.

Lockdown Lunacy

Contagious Churches

If they had closed everything, if the “pandemic” was killing millions and millions, if people were staying home because truck loads of bodies were passing through neighborhoods on their way to the morgue…

Then I could see closing churches.

But grocery stores were open, big box stores were open, liquor stores were open, casinos were open and in some cases strip clubs were open.

Now, maybe lap dances were off the table, I don’t know, I’ve never been to a strip club and didn’t go to one during the lockdowns…even for research.

I suppose if everyone wore a mask, everyone would be okay, right?

Well…not exactly. The authorities did not want you in church, because watching a pastor at the podium giving a sermon was less safe than watching a stripper doing a pole dance.

It makes a lot of sense as long as you don’t think about it.

The authorities did say that singing in church would spread disease and death and destruction. Okay, that’s not exactly what they said, but they did ban singing and chanting in some cases. In California we got this:

“Places of worship must therefore discontinue singing and chanting activities and limit indoor attendance to 25% of building capacity or a maximum of 100 attendees, whichever is lower,” the new guidelines read.²

I guess those hard letters in Amazing Grace spread virus droplets in ways that yelling at strippers did not.

As most everyone knows, at this point, the most important accomplishment of the lockdowns was the biggest transfer of wealth from the middle class to the super rich in the history of the world.

The lockdowns definitely worked for the ultra-wealthy.

Their businesses grew and they got rid of many, many annoying small businesses.

Win, win.
