I’ve used two criteria for these: my favorites and those that got some traction on social media: Patriots.win and Substack. Traction is a relative term in my world since I do not have a lot of subscribers, nonetheless here they are, some with comments (below the image), some without. Obviously, feel free to share…that’s what memes are for.
I’ve stopped in March 2024, because in April I started using an AI image generator to create many of my memes. When I started doing that there was a definite shift in the kinds of things I could do.
What resonates is very hard to predict. I’ve found this to be true with most all the things that I post. Something I like a lot, very often gets very little traction, and something else I just throw together on the spur of moment gets more. I have learned that even if I’m not totally sold on what I’ve created be it an essay, a meme, a poem or short story….sometimes those resonate with others in ways I could have not anticipated.
I’m sure there’s some lesson there…but I’m too tired at the moment to spend any more time thinking about it.
There are 19 memes here. The best way to look at all of the memes I’ve created (over 250), for those of you interested, is on my website’s ALL MEMEs page.
This current post is also for many of you who have only recently subscribed on Substack or found my website. It has grown into much more than I anticipated…which seems to be the way life goes. Enjoy. If there are comments they come after the meme.
This was my first meme. It came out on January 1, 2022.
This was my first one that got some traction. I didn’t start my Substack until June of 2022. This came out in January of 2022. I posted it on Patriots.win where it went viral. I have since seen it on Gab and a couple of other places I can’t remember.
This is one of my favorites…it got very little traction. I still like it.
I followed the Canadian Truckers closely and was horrified to see how they were denigrated, lied about and treated by the Canadian government. This one got more traction than I was expecting.
I have seen The Princess Bride way more times than you have. Just a guess.
Depending on your age…this may not make any sense. This is from the old Get Smart series….”And loving it” was a phrase Max used all the time.
This is a repurposed vintage cartoon.
This is the one that gave me my first wave of Substack subscribers. It came out December 7, 2022. This was because of Larry Johnson and his site, “Son of the New American Revolution.” He wrote this about the meme:
A tip of the hat to The Asylum for nailing the meme. I had to check the calendar to make sure it was not April 1st when I heard the news that Time magazine named Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky Man of the Year. It also crossed my mind that the Babylon Bee was doing a follow up on its satirical cover featuring “Rachel” Levine as Man of the Year.
The Babylon Bee was joking (I thought it hilarious). Time magazine may be a joke, but is dead serious in naming Zelensky its Man of the Year. The Asylum, to its credit, beat Babylon Bee to the punch in correctly ridiculing this decision.1
Like the Time cover parody, this is from an actual cover of Glamour that I altered to reflect reality, not their fantasy about men getting pregnant.
I saw this one out in the wild, but they had blocked out “No Bullshit” and replaced it with, I think, “No Cow Patties.”
I like that the two business guys, with hands raised, have big smiles on their faces.
I’ll stop here. This last one came out on March 30th, 2024. The more recent ones have evolved since I started using A.I. to generate images.
I’ll do something like this again at the end of next year. Hope you enjoyed.
Have a great New Year’s Day. I’m hoping that 2025 will be way better than the previous 4 years.

I’m a first timer! Good stuff, I will follow
Happy (almost) New Year!
The meme review was fun, curious why you decided to not include the AI generated images, since they all started with your ideas.
