I've often wondered about the term "convicted felon." If one is a "felon" does it not stand that they have been "convicted" of something? It seems like a redundancy.
We want authenticity over entitlement. We want someone hungry to do the job rather than someone whose job it is to tell us it’s someone else’s job. I am of the opinion that they tried to assassinate him. When the country saw blood, this whole thing shifted. You might even still dislike the man, but that split second in Butler, PA, was a moment of clarity for tens of millions. And the last thing those who wanted him dead wanted was for tens of millions to have that moment of clarity. I don’t care how many fucking convictions they heap on him; the resolve he’s shown means the world to those who are fed up with years of hollow promises and fake smiles.
