It is all well and good to stop, and step to the side of the trail to console or consult the lost hiker. But never give away the compass, that is leading you in the correct direction, to someone who doesn't know how to use it. Then, you both will be lost.

Another analogy, offer a ride to the "fellow traveler", but don't let a serial killer into your passenger seat.

There is an opportunity to help those who are simply lost or misguided. But the insane will only sabotage the journey, leave them be.

Naomi Wolf also wrote that the Republican women should stop looking so beautiful, slim, well-dressed, graceful, because Democrat women don’t see themselves that way and of course we should all pander to these losers, these fatties, these blue-haired, shoddy, lazy dressers. So, once a very silly Democrat woman, always a very silly Democrat woman if Ms Wolf is anything to go by. She is far too immersed in ‘feminist’ thinking, can’t seem to shake it off entirely, perhaps she is too old to change, too old for her long hair, anyway. But, she has redeemed herself regarding the poison jabs and the ‘Covid’ evil generally, so there’s that. But her take on what President Trump should do if he cared to win the unwinnable votes of very silly democrat women is way off beam.

I didn't know that about how she thought women should dress. I prefer my wife looking beautiful. I agree with you....her two books are very good....but Trump is doing just fine without her advice.

Excellent thoughts and I always like the sprinkle of humour. :)

A young man who grew up with my kids made a statement on social media to the effect that he was happy that he had a beautiful place to retreat to for the next four years. I told him to never retreat from life. Head up, shoulders back, face all of it. He thanked me.

I've had to do the same. It made me, a very shy person, stand up for myself in the face of those who wanted to slap the fight out of me.

I need to add more humor... :-)

You gave good advice! As so many are saying, this is not the time to relax, it's time to keep pushing and keep winning.

Have a great day, Jenni.

"Nobody loves me but my mother, and she might be jivin' me too." -- B. B. King

Hey, I can relate. Back when I cared about sportsball, I was a life-long Cleveland Browns fan, born in Canton Ohio with the Hall of Fame just down the road from my home. You can't get more infused with the madness. So when the Browns up and moved during the night, can you imagine the shock? However, I didn't blubber, all I did was rant for a spell and slowly lose interest in pro sports, then pretty much all televised anything. Now all my entertainment and enlightenment comes from reading, writing and creating works of art, most of it interacting with cool dudes like you.

I checked my pockets, guess what, I'm all out of f***'s to give for all corporate media. Full stop.

Oh, and nice post!

Ah, the good ol' days of the San Diego Chargers (and others). That was the best era of football (And cars. And trucks.) I mean Alworth? Fouts? C'mon what was better!? Well, okay, Butkus (and Sayers, of course), Peyton, Staubach, Bradshaw, yadda, yadda, but still. The NFL was ruined for me when the Colts left Baltimore (the spirit Johnny Unitas is still pissed, I am sure). That was as bad as, or worse than, when Gretzky left the Edmonton Oilers. The whole playing field (pun intended) of the bread&circuses spectacle was forever changed for the worse. It no longer mattered where you're from, or who are your people, or anything remotely like "place" or history. Nope, it was only about apparel and mugging for the camera, and the like. Oh, and Mark Gastineau further ruined football with his idiotic sack dance.

Absolutely right. That Chargers lost tons of fans in that move...traditions, even in sports, are important. I stopped watching NFL football with that move....the only sport I really cared about.
