Islam: Here We Go...
An introductory post on Islam in preparation for my future book recommendations by Islamic scholars and ex-Muslims.
Without criticism, Islam will remain unassailed in its dogmatic, fanatical, medieval fortress; ossified in its totalitarian, intolerant, paranoid past. It will continue to stifle thought, human rights, individuality, originality and truth.1
— Ibn Warraq, Why I Am Not a Muslim
I’m going to start posting book reviews about Islam. By Islamists and Islamic apologists most of these reviews will be considered “Islamophobic.” I’ll be considered Islamophobic for daring to mention books critical of Islam.
That’s okay. We have every reason to be “Islamophobic.” Instead of feeling threatened with that label—moral, sane people everywhere should own it, make it ours, make Islamists reluctant to use it. There’s no need to be defensive.
“You’re Islamophobic!”
“You’re damn right I am and here’s why.”
The term, like “conspiracy theorist,” is meant to denigrate and marginalize anyone who has anything critical to say of Islam. It stops debate. Debate and facts are the enemy, so the label creates doubt in those who have never heard the criticisms before and allows them to dismiss anything that might be unsettling to hear because the speaker is an Islamophobe, one with an opinion not worth considering. Instead of engaging in that difficult activity of thinking, one can simply label opponents with the appropriate insult—then go buy a veggie burger, watch Netflix and attend a No Kings protest.
Islam, as practiced by millions of Muslims, has no place in the United States or in any other Western country. In reality, it should have no place even in Islamic states, no place in any part of the world. Islam is not compatible with Western Civilization. It’s hardly a religion. It treats women as property, considers anyone who does not accept Islam as an unbeliever, an “infidel,” someone to be subjugated by conversion, death or taxation. Adulterers should be stoned. Leaving Islam (apostasy) can be a death sentence. So can blasphemy. There is no tolerance in Islam—except for Muslims—as long as they live according to Islamic law.
You may be thinking, “Well, those are the ‘radical Muslims,’ the others are fine.” If Muhammad is the best example of Islam there is (and Muslims believe this) then his example shows that “radical” Islam is not radical at all, but orthodox. Orthodox Islam is wholly incompatible with Western ideals, with traditional morality, with the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence and humanity in general. “Moderate” Muslims, ones who do not believe in the Islamic behavior in the preceding paragraph, whether they know it or not, are not following the Koran or the example set by Muhammad.
Muhammad, the founder of Islam, who started out moderate, later becomes upset that the Arabs (including Christians and Jews) around him did not believe him to be the prophet of Allah and since he could not convince them by reason, he eventually chose the sword. Many adherents of Islam today have also chosen the sword. They believe they are the true followers of Islam, that what they are doing is right in the eyes of Allah and their prophet because they are following his example and the commands in the Qu’ran (Koran).
Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those [who say this] are witless. Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all!…Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword! The sword is the key to Paradise, which can be opened only for the Holy Warriors!….Does all this mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim. —Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.2
Muslims, according to their religion, have a every right to lie (taqiyya) to non-Muslims (unbelievers, infidels) in order to further Islam. Their belief system is such that when they are not in power they will be amenable, cordial and friendly—but that all ends once political power has been achieved. Take a look at what is happening in France, Germany and Great Britain.
What the West does not understand about Islamism is that jihad has stages. If Muslims have the upper hand, then jihad is waged by force. If Muslims do not have the upper hand, then jihad is waged through financial and political means. —Walid Shoebat, Why I Left Jihad3
Islam is not a religion of peace. It is a religion of subjugation and power. The goal is complete world conquest. Islamists want every woman wearing a burqa or hijab. They want every country to be an Islamic country.
They [his Muslim friends] strongly support the forced conversion of the entire world population to Islam. And only then, they say, there will be peace. Even in a country like Australia many of them dare to say “We came to Australia to rid the people of their sinful activities and convert them to Islam.” — Abul Kasem, ex-Muslim, 2003 4
And if Muslims tell us (Infidels) that’s not true—how do we know? The question is not, “Are there moderate Muslims?” Yes, of course there are. The questions are, “How do you know if a Muslim is moderate?” or “How do you know how long a Muslim will remain moderate?”
And this brings up a most important problem: the impermanence of “moderate” attitudes. What makes anyone doubt that someone who appears to have definitely turned his back on jihad, and will have nothing to do with those he calls the “fanatics,” if he does not make a clean break with Islam and become an apostate, will at some point “revert” to a more devout, and thus more dangerous, version of Islam? — Hugh Fitzgerald, Islamizing Europe5
If Muslims tell us everything I’ve written here and quoted is not true—how do we know?
If Muslims tell us Christians, Jews, Hindus, Atheists and others that we have nothing to worry about—how do we know?
How do we know Muslims are telling us the truth?
We don’t.
“War is deceit,” Muhammad said, and those who regard him as al-insan al-kamil, the Most Perfect of Men, have themselves become past masters at the art of deceit. It is nearly impossible to find a Muslim who will admit to the full truth of what Islam teaches about Infidels, though occasionally it happens. — Hugh Fitzgerald, Islamizing Europe6
“But Mr. Inmate what about moderate Muslims? You seem to be forgetting about their influence!”
I’ll let Robert Spencer (RS), an Islamic scholar, and author of several books I’ll be recommending, address that from his FAQ page on his website:
Q: Are you deliberately ignoring more liberal schools of thought in Islam?
RS: Certainly not. Any Muslim individual or group who works for genuine reform of the Islamic doctrines, theological tenets and laws that Islamic jihadists use to justify violence, is to be commended. But this reform must be undertaken honestly and thoroughly, confronting the texts of the Qur’an, Hadith, and Sira that are used to justify violence against unbelievers, and decisively rejecting Qur’anic literalism. Not all self-proclaimed moderates are truly moderate: many deny that these elements of Islam exist at all — hardly a promising platform for reform. It is important to make proper distinctions and speak honestly about the roots of the terrorist threat.7[emphasis is mine]
Are there good and decent Muslims? Yes, of course there are, but as so many of the authors I’ve been reading explain, it is in spite of orthodox Islamic doctrine, not because of it. As you’ll see in my future review of Leaving Islam: Apostates Speak Out many Muslims left Islam for one simple reason: they read the Koran. So have I.
The books I’ll be recommending are written by ex-Muslims and Islamic scholars. They’re excellent books. Most, if not all, of the authors have received death threats from the “religion of peace” because, well, free speech isn’t a high priority in Islam—upholding, even with violence, Islamic doctrine is.
Here are books I’ve read or are currently reading and that I’ll be reviewing in the future:
The Koran. Yes, I read it cover to cover. You owe me!

The state of things here inside EU is such, that if I show this to others that's a crime. Worse, if I state that islam is violent and provide examples both from scripture and reality, that's still a crime.
Our authorities have for the most part allied with islam.
You see the same in the USA, but in my very limited experience and view, few Americans realise what they allowed to take root and fester in their nation.
Make no mistake, that moslems in America will use the 2nd amendment to its fullest.
If a Democrat is in power when that starts, on local, state or federal level, the response will be appeasement and paying jizya.
And writing the above could get me sent to prison.
Please mention the good work the person or people at https://thereligionofpeace.com/ are doing in documenting the literally continuous murders of non-Muslims by Muslims every day, all around the world, all explicitly in the name of Islam.
